释义	【說文解字】〈多、𡖇〉重也。从重夕。夕者，相繹也，故爲多。重夕爲多，重日爲曡。凡多之屬皆从多。得何切。臣鍇曰：「《周禮》又謂『戰功曰多。』《尚書》文侯之命曰『汝多脩』是也。繹之言尋也，不絶之意也。又，夏謂『祭之，朙日又祭為繹。』謂尋前日之事也；今夕復尋前夕之事，是為多者，事之過多也。疊者，重積前日之事以成之也，不為過多也，故重日則為；重夕則為多。夕者，萬物息焉，君子之所以安身，小人之所以息力。故宴樂之事，猶曰臣卜其晝，未卜其夜，況於力役而可夕為之乎？故重夕為多也。」（𡖇）古文多。
